Week 90  This week we get the white covering for the rudder and a couple of brackets for the instrument cross bar.

The bits we received

And what we did with them

Not much this week.  I'm not covering the model, so the white film won't get used.

I'm going to fit the two brackets after the cross bar has been fitted to the fuselage.  It will be easier to position them accurately.

The wooden bush was quite straight forward.  I cheated a little and used one of the circular pieces of scrap that was left over from the fire wall.

The machine guns were ground out with a dremel type tool and finished off with a file.  However, it would not be too difficuilt to do it completely with a file.  Hold it in a vice.  That will make it easier to file.

The machine picked up a couple of chips, so will need re-painting.  Fortunately I haven't added the ammo feed and shutes yet.

The rest of the work is simply test fitting the parts.  As stated i nthe instructions, the fuselage seems a little wide.  However, this is because the brass spars spring out. They should be parallel from the fire wall back to the rear of the cockpit.  I have it on good authority that this has been taken into account in the final assembly.
