Week 69  This week we get the ammo box

The bits we received

And what we did with them

Firstly, I glued the wooden parts together.  The next job will be to sand it smooth and fill any defects before adding the fittings and painting.

I decided to paint the box black.  The next step is to fit the two brackets, which will be left in their natural metal colour.

Here is the finished ammo box.  The flash has highlighted the grain.  It's almost invisible in the flash.  I didn't bother about painting the inside as the ammo belts and cartridge shutes will fill the holes.

Hot tip of the week

It's easier to apply and sand filler before adding any fittings
