Week 32  This week we get the fire wall

This was a nice easy week.  Everything cut out easily and fitted nicely.  I assembled the parts up to the stage shown in the photo above, and then left the glue to dry.  Next, I inserted the bearing.  Note that the bearing seems to fit on the engine slightly better one way round.  I'm not sure if this is just mine, or generic.  Try it on the engine both ways.  If it fits better one way, mark the face closest to the engine crank case.  Now insert the bearing with that face downwards.

Now simply add the other bits of wood as allow to dry.  I used white wood glue throughout.

I have painted the firewall with metalic steel paint.  One of Halford's range.  Just choose a colour you think is suitable.

When the paint is dry, remove any paint from inside the holes with a round file and/or emery board.
