Week 26 This week we get the final cylinder

The bits we received

And what we did with them

The cylinder assembly is the same as Cylinder 2, which has been repeated several times.

Now I'm going to assemble the nine cylinders onto the crank case.

The faces of the crank case where the cylinders fit needed flattening off with a file.  This is inevitable because of the casting process.

The bottoms of the cylinders also needed a clean up with a file.  Finally, all nine cylinders were glued in place with thick super glue.  The thick (viscous) super glue has quite good gap filling properties, so is ideal for places like this where we don't have a particularly good fit.

How many hours does it take to build the model ??
